FAQS

About Us

Where is Firestack based?

Our firewood comes from the Bay of Plenty and we have depots all around the North Island of New Zealand. We'll be expanding into the South Island soon so be sure to sign up to our newsletter here to be the first to know when we do so.

Our Wood

What kind of wood is used in The Original Stack?

For our Original Stack we use clean geothermal kiln-dried radiata pine.

How much wood do I get in each of The Original Stacks?

Our Original Stack has a weight of 370kg and dimensions: 810(w) x 900(d) x 1065(h) including pallet. Our stack is comparative to 2m3 of thrown wood or 38 bags of Tui firewood.

How big is each piece of wood?

Each block is approx 300mm long x 90mm wide x 45mm high designed to fit nicely into a fireplace.

Why are there knots in my pieces of wood?

When cutting our firewood into blocks, where possible we optimise including the knots. The knots of wood burn longer which allows for hot long heat when burnt.

Delivery

How much does it cost for delivery to my area?

Each delivery area has it's own seperate delivery fees per stack you order depending on how far you are away from the closest regional depot of ours. Prices range from $30-$99 per stack. If you order 4 stacks, you'll not only get a $50 multi-stack discount but also free delivery on your 4th stack!

Why do we have to pay for delivery on each stack if it's coming to the same location?

Due to the size and weight of this product we have to charge per item for delivery. You are also paying for the service of having each item delivery directly to your location of choice (where accessible). We do offer free delivery on your fourth stack as well as a multi-stack discount of up to $50.

Can I pick up my order myself after purchasing?

Unfortunately we do not offer pick up and only offer delivery for our products.

Where can my Original Stack be placed when delivered?

As long as we can access the area with our electric pallet jack, we're happy to deliver it to your place of choice whether that be your door, garage, wood shed or side of your house. Feel free to get in touch with us to query about an area if you're unsure.
